The DX168 is a rugged, 96kHz portable expander for adding remote I/O to a dLive, Avantis or SQ system, or to AHM audio matrix processors using a standard Cat-cable. 16 preamps with +60dB of gain, Phantom Power indicators and -20dB pad for line level sources. 8 balanced, relay protected line outputs on XLR. No configuration required, just connect to your mixer and you’re ready to go. The Expander’s rugged design, with hard-wearing rubber bumpers, allows it to be placed directly on the stage floor during performances. Weighing in at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle, the DX168 offers the convenience and portability needed in rental, touring, theaters, concerts and many other environments. An optional 4U rack mounting kit is available which allows installation in 19-inch racks. he DX168 can be placed up to 100m away from the mixer for maximum flexibility of positioning. The expander connects via a single Cat5e cable to the mixer and a second locking EtherCon port is provided for redundant connection to compatible hardware, or for daisy-chaining to a downstream DX Expander for additional remote I/O.
